Who processes information for MedTap
Expy LLC uses the service providers below to run MedTap. Where a provider handles information on a practice’s behalf, an appropriate agreement has to be in place before it does so.
In use
- Google Cloud and Firebase — account sign-in, database, file storage and server functions. Processing takes place in the United States.
- Stedi — checking your insurance coverage with your plan, when your clinic has that turned on. A coverage answer is not a guarantee that a visit will be paid for.
Planned, not yet enabled
- Amazon Web Services — email and text messages, once those features are turned on. This page is updated before either sends anything.
Not enabled in the current service
The following is present in our software but switched off. If it is enabled for a practice in future, this page is updated before it processes anything.
- Google Cloud Vision — reading an insurance card from a photo.
Changes
We give notice before a material change to this list where practicable, and a practice’s Business Associate Agreement continues to limit what any provider may do with patient information.
